Fire Service Day
Fire Service Day on Saturday, June 13, from 10 – 2. Free Museum admission for fire service personnel.

Holiday Train Garden
On Opening Day, snap a selfie with Santa, from 11 am until 2 pm on Nov. 29th.
Watch as O-scale trains wind through a 20th-century town.

Lantern Night
A family-friendly Halloween. See fire apparatus in a new light: etched glass signal lamps and kerosene lanterns; also visit with reenactors in period attire.

Honoring our Heroes Motor Muster (FREE)
Our annual salute to fire, police, EMS, and military personnel, with antique fire engine demonstrations and rides. Sponsored by Seagrave Corporation and the citizens of Baltimore County, Honoring our Heroes is a great way to say “Thank You” to all of our community members in uniform. 2026 Living History Day
The Fire Museum of Maryland is happy to announce that we will be repeating our Living History Day in 2026. Come visit and see history come to life with both people and activities from our past.

Summer Hours Start (Wed-Sat)
Looking for a fun summertime activity for the kids? Bring them to the Fire Museum of Maryland. The Museum is open every Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm, through the end of August. In July and August, look for kid-friendly activities every Wednesday through Friday at 11 am. The activities are included with your admission to the Museum.

Family Safety Day (FREE)
This is certainly an occasion that your family should not miss! Families and children can learn about fire safety from a variety of different vendors that will be present at the museum. Children will also learn about different First Responders careers that are available to them. A day full of both learning and Fire Safety fun!

History Ablaze!
Immerse yourself in the history of one of Baltimore’s most important stories. Join the Fire Museum of Maryland and guest speaker Charles B. Duff for an in-person presentation at the museum about the fire that destroyed Baltimore’s inner Harbor in 1904 .

250th Anniversary Celebration (FREE)
250th Anniversary Celebration
July 3, 2026. 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Meet Ben Franklin. Kids are invited to raise the flag at 10:45. Take a ride on a horse-drawn fire hose wagon (11:00 am – 2:00 pm). Food trucks. Family friendly fun. Free admission thanks to the support of the Baltimore Community Foundation and the Citizens of Baltimore County. Our Engine 8 façade will be decorated to look like it did during the 1876 centennial of the United States.

Antique Car Show
Each year the Chesapeake Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) puts on an antique car show at the Fire Museum. Featuring classic and custom vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, police and military vehicles.
